For the June 2009 and on, BMW changed the intercooler piping on the N54 engine. This revised intercooler piping essentially was exactly the same as the previous years except for one change. The "accordian" style rubber elbow between the lower intercooler piping and the diverter valve charge pipe was now integrated into the diverter valve charge pipe. In previous years, this "accordian" rubber elbow was a seperate part and could be removed. Since, it is now part of the new revised diverter valve charge pipe, it could not be removed. We now have a new diverter valve charge pipe designed specifically for the new N54 (June 2009+ build date). Since the June 2009+ models charge pipes include what is knows as "the meth elbows", they cost $50 more which is still cheaper than purchasing a "meth elbow" that other companies that sell them for $100. If you have a 2006 to 6/2009 and you want the "elbow" that replaces the "accordian" OEM elbow, you can purchase the 2010 model charge pipe.
